Our rehearsal dinner was a success. We didn’t think it was going to be originally due to some drama but it worked out. Eric’s parents arrived at the venue to set up that Thursday afternoon to find out that they never really took our deposit and never really booked the room for us! They had us on the books but never really finalized it. Luckily the place was not booked again so we were okay. But that’s not the way you want to start your wedding!
In addition to that, Eric and I had a meeting with Childress once we arrived in Lexington the say before the wedding and there were over six firetrucks on site. We never found out what happened. But later when we arrived at the place again to drop off stuff the entry gate to the winery shut on us! We found out later that their power had gone out.
Eric and I have the worst luck. We totally expected it to rain on our wedding day as it has for every vacation we have ever taken. It rained on our engagement pictures. And it rained on my bridal portraits. But everything turned out perfect in both cases anyways.
The rehearsal went well, we practiced both outside and inside if it rained. Then we were off to the Lexington Municipal Club for dinner!
We decided to have BBQ since Lexington, NC is the capital of BBQ. We chose Speedy’s since that is what all the locals of Lexington recommended. And it was delicious. I didn’t take a picture of it. Not sure why, but I did get the banana pudding which was equally yummy.
I think that everyone had a great time. I got a pretty attractive group of family members and friends right?? Gotta love them. Thank you all for your support. You are amazing.
